| Applause for Women in Engineering
To mark Women's History Month, PrimECS celebrates the foremothers of Engineering and applauds many female engineering professionals, including those at PrimECS who continue to conquer untested waters. Our company prides itself on having women representation at 75% of our staff and 60% of our engineering workforce. "From an Intern to the Office Engineer at PrimECS in a span of 6 months after, I have gained invaluable knowledge and skills while contributing to the successful execution of USA-based large projects in roads, railways, and bridges," said Yvette Umuhire Mukeshimana, Office Engineer at PrimECS, before sending a shoutout to past and present women in engineering who have paved the way for many like her.
In line with the United Nations’ resolution of 1975, it is timely to celebrate women's unique achievements and contributions throughout history. Women have made significant contributions to engineering and construction, among other fields historically dominated by men. However, their contributions were not always valued at fair value. During Women's History Month, celebrated every year from March 1st to March 31st, PrimECS joins the world to honor women's social, economic, cultural, and political achievements; raise awareness of gender inequality, and promote gender parity.
